Annual Hunger Walk
 
Staff and volunteers of Sunlight of the Spirit and more than 4,000 others will join the march against hunger every summer.  This annual hunger walk directly benefits participating food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters that are member agencies of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, including Sunlight of the Spirit.  Funds raised help us provide nutritious food to hungry people in the community.
Sunlight of the Spirit is seeking walkers and donors for the hunger walk.  To pledge your support, call us at our main office (773) 276-9786.  We look forward to your response, and hope that you'll join us in the march against hunger.

The hunger walk is a 2.5 mile walk along Chicago's lakefront, beginning at Montrose Harbor.  Walkers receive a certificate and join in celebration, there is family entertainment and games until the event ends at noon.  All walkers will also receive light refreshments, goodie bags and an event T-shirt.
